The Climax-Scotts Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 57-46 to Mendon.
Mendon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Owen Gorham, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Quincy Blair, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Climax-Scotts dropped their record down to 3-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Mendon, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Climax-Scotts will take on Athens at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Athens is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Mendon won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bellevue at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. Bellevue will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
