Moriarty is  a perfect 3-0 against Highland since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Moriarty Pintos will face off against the Highland Hornets at 3:30  p.m. Highland took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Moriarty, who comes in off a win.
While Pintos fans will have to keep waiting for their  squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's  season opener. Everything went their way against Del Norte on Tuesday as Moriarty made off with  a  26-4 win.
 Isabella Gallegos made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   four  hits. Gallegos was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-5.

 In other batting news,  Shae Rios was  incredible,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run, four  runs,  and five  RBI. The dominant performance gave  her a new career-high in  hits. Another player making a difference was  Julie Autrey, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Moriarty  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .612. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Del Norte only posted  an  OBP of  .458.
 Meanwhile, Highland came up short against  Albuquerque Academy on Friday, falling  27-18.
 Moriarty skirted past Highland  8-6 in their previous matchup  back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Moriarty since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
