Basketball Recap: Palmdale Academy Charter School Takes a Loss

Palmdale Academy Charter School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Valley Torah Wolfpack 72-43.

Despite the loss, Palmdale Academy Charter School still got an impressive performance from Casey Culver, who went 10-for-13 en route to 29 points and five rebounds. Culver continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Troy Reyes, who posted five points and five boards.

Palmdale Academy Charter School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Valley Torah, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Valley Torah will venture away from home to challenge Lancaster Baptist at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Palmdale Academy Charter School will be paying especially close attention to the Wolfpack's matchup: after the Wolfpack face off against Desert Christian, they'll take on Palmdale Academy Charter School again at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
