The Taylorsville Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 92-69 loss at the hands of Cyprus. Taylorsville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played on January 5th.
Despite the loss, Taylorsville had strong showings from Bronson Dallimore, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds, and Kobe Allen, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Dallimore has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyler Johnson, who scored three points along with five steals.
Cyprus' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Koli Fosita led the charge by scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Fosita is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Neilsen, who scored 14 points along with two blocks.
Taylorsville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Cyprus, their victory bumped their record up to 4-15.
Taylorsville will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. As for Cyprus, they will head out on the road to challenge the Soaring Eagle at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
