The biggest upset of the week belonged to Upper Merion Area, who took down 272nd ranked Springfield Township, 41-12.
The Vikings moved up to 420 from 474 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Suburban One - American. Upper Merion Area was able to make the jump by beating the Spartans 41-12.
Plymouth Whitemarsh's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Pete Giorgio threw for 104 and one touchdown and Alton Custus had 68 yards receiving. On the ground Corey Kelly chipped in 254 yards. Erik Tucker helped Plymouth Whitemarsh's passing attack out by catching three balls for 37 yards.
Harold Smith's team's Carmen Fortino and Michael Grant have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Fortino has thrown for 771 yards this season, while Grant has 17 catches for 351 yards. The Colonials' Kelly leads the league in rushing yards with 885.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Cheltenham takes on Wissahickon. The Panthers are currently in fourth, while the Trojans are in second.
Cheltenham was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in Suburban One - American. Joe Gro's team vanquished Upper Dublin 28-7 earlier in the week.
