Sullivan has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Heritage Hawks at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Sullivan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-40 to Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City.
Meanwhile, Heritage's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 13th straight defeat. They were beaten by La Salette Academy 56-21. Heritage was down 45-19 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Despite their loss, Heritage saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Brennan Struck, who scored eight points, was perhaps the best of all.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Heritage struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-8) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Sullivan's loss dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 3-25.
Sullivan came up short against Heritage in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 46-41. Can Sullivan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
