The DSST: College View Wolves will be taking part in a tournament against the Rangeview Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While DSST: College View's win against DSST: Green Valley Ranch wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolves skirted past the Raptors 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolves have posted against the Raptors since October 27, 2018.
DSST: College View took DSST: Green Valley Ranch into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-14, 25-13, 15-25, 15-12.

DSST: College View can attribute much of their success to Lesli Chavez, who hit 100% for eight kills and 44 digs and five aces, and Ana Solis, who had 34 assists and eight aces. Those eight kills gave Chavez a new career-high.
They weren't the only good servers: DSST: College View was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Rangeview had to endure a three-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Bruce Randolph by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday.
Rangeview had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-13, 25-11, 25-14.
DSST: College View now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Rangeview, their win bumped their record up to 4-13.
