The Aniak Halfbreeds entered their tilt with the Kalskag Grizzly Bears with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Aniak blew past Kalskag 97-15 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 51-9.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Aniak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marshell Dallmann, who scored 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of William Morgan, who scored 29 points.
Aniak pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Kalskag, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Aniak won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Akiak at 9:30 p.m. on January 18th. As for Kalskag, they will head out on the road to face off against Cook Inlet Academy on Thursday. Cook Inlet Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
