The East Dubuque Warriors entered their tilt with the Galena Pirates with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. East Dubuque walked away with a 61-52 victory over Galena on Wednesday. For East Dubuque, this counts as revenge for the 70-58 defeat Galena walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Galena still got an impressive performance from Connor Glasgow, who scored 24 points along with five assists and three steals. Glasgow has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kaden Hauber, who scored 12 points.
East Dubuque has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Galena, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Dubuque's homestand continues as they prepare to take on West Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. West Carroll is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Galena, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against River Ridge at 7:00 p.m. River Ridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 175 points over their last three games.
