Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Prairie Central). They took down the Rantoul Eagles 59-40 on Thursday. This was payback for the Hawks, who suffered a 46-44 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Prairie Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cami Slagel led the charge by going 6 of 10 en route to 13 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Abi Nimbler was another key player, going 7 for 17 on her way to 16 points and five steals.

Prairie Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Prairie Central's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Rantoul, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
