The Wilmington Hurricane lost against the Goshen Warriors back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Wilmington received a tough blow as they fell 70-53 to Goshen. Wilmington has not had much luck with Goshen recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Caden Zeinner was his usual excellent self, scoring 39 points along with two steals for Goshen. That makes it three consecutive games in which Zeinner has scored at least a third of Goshen's points. Bray Settelmayer was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
Wilmington has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Goshen, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-2.
Wilmington will head out on the road to square off against Batavia at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilmington is coming into the game with five straight defeats on the road, meaning Batavia will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Goshen, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-49 victory vs. New Richmond on the 10th.
