The Campo Verde Coyotes will head out on the road to face off against the Cactus Cobras at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Campo Verde put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They put the hurt on Gilbert with a sharp 42-20 victory. The win was nothing new for Campo Verde as they're now sitting on three straight.
Campo Verde can attribute much of their success to Bobby Blackburn, who rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and Athan Ferber, who rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Meanwhile, Cactus entered their tilt with Millennium with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Cactus secured a 12-7 W over Millennium on Friday.
Cactus' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Antonio Casias, who threw for 156 yards and two touchdowns.
Campo Verde is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Cactus, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3.
