After two weeks on the road, Rutland is heading back home. On Friday they take on Rice Memorial at 7:00 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Rutland and Rice Memorial will really light up the scoreboard.
Rutland put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. They put a hurting on Middlebury to the tune of 42-7.
Meanwhile, Rice Memorial made easy work of Essex and carried off a 38-14 victory. The success made it back-to-back wins for Rice Memorial.
Rutland had enough points to win and then some against Rice Memorial the last time the two teams met, taking their contest 41-21. Whatever the outcome in this rematch, the match is bound to be a fierce one since these are two of the top teams in the state.
