Stringer has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Mount Olive Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Stringer will be strutting in after a victory while Mount Olive will be coming in after a defeat.
Stringer scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 62-25 win over Mississippi School for the Deaf at home. The victory was just what Stringer needed coming off of a 67-37 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Mount Olive's good fortune finally ran out last Tuesday. They fell 28-19 to North Forrest. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mount Olive has scored all season.
Stringer's victory bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Mount Olive, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Stringer beat Mount Olive 50-39 when the teams last played back in February of 2021. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stringer since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
