The Robertsdale Golden Bears had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 56-45 victory over Foley. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Robertsdale also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Robertsdale's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trevor Pugh led the charge by scoring 8 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Williams, who scored 10 points along with 4 steals.
Robertsdale has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Foley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Robertsdale will face off against St. Michael Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Foley and Navarre will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Navarre focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Wednesday.
