Liberty is 2-8 against Lake Washington since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Liberty Patriots will head out on the road to square off against the Lake Washington Kangaroos at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Liberty focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Monday.
Liberty suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 72-48 walloping at the hands of Tahoma.
Ella Whitaker put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 24 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Tran, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Lake Washington waltzed into their match on Monday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They walked away with a 57-50 victory over Sumner.
Liberty has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season. As for Lake Washington, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3.
Liberty opened the new year with a less-than-successful 56-43 defeat to Lake Washington. Can Liberty avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
