The Rouse Raiders waltzed into their game on Friday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lockhart 66-30 on the road. With Rouse ahead 41-16 at the half, the game was all but over already.
It was another big night for Jojo Moore, who scored 22 points along with six steals and two blocks. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Amarie Haywood, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Rouse's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Lockhart, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-18 record this season.
Rouse will be playing at home against Hays at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hays will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while Rouse is ranked 29th). As for Lockhart, they will head out on the road to square off against Liberty Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
