After a string of seven wins, Benjamin Franklin's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carver Vo-Tech Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bayhawks of the 75-73 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Carver Vo-Tech's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but David Ross led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Ross has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last six times he's played. Tyjuan Savage was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 12 points and six steals.

Benjamin Franklin's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Carver Vo-Tech, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.

Benjamin Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-26 win against National Academy Foundation on the 16th. Carver Vo-Tech has also already played their next match, a 72-20 victory against Coppin Academy on the 16th.
