The Benjamin Franklin Electrons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Parkway Center City by a score of 70-59. The win was familiar territory for Benjamin Franklin who now have four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Benjamin Franklin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Soukare Fane, who scored 17 points along with four steals and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Fane posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kneco Hill, who scored 15 points.
Despite the defeat, Parkway Center City had strong showings from Josh Snipe, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, and Israel Mckinley, who scored 17 points along with four steals. Mckinley scored a full 28.8% of Parkway Center City's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jaden McKnight, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds.
Benjamin Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Parkway Center City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Benjamin Franklin won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Carver High School of Engineering & Science at 3:15 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Carver High School of Engineering & Science focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday. Parkway Center City will be home for the holidays to greet Philadelphia Electric Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Philadelphia Electric Charter is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
