AAAA Region 3A recap November 5, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Wayne County, who took down 36th ranked Statesboro, 7-6.
South Effingham lost to Liberty County 41-17 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Panthers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Trentice Williams chipped in 162 yards.
Williams provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Liberty County beat the Mustangs.
Williams was the best running back in AAAA Region 3A this week. He ran for 162 yards on 14 carries as Kirk Warner's team topped South Effingham. Teammate Jordan Waters added to the ground attack by rushing for 56 yards.
Donnie Revell's team's Tyler Pullum and Taylor Donavan have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Pullum has thrown for 1,378 yards this season, while Donavan has 21 catches for 458 yards. The Panthers' Williams leads the league in rushing yards with 777.
Liberty County led the league in scoring this week by notching 41 points on the Mustangs. Williams during the win.
