Jefferson County scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Hazlehurst 71-32 at home. The victory was just what Jefferson County needed coming off of a 73-30 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, St. Andrew's Episcopal's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They fell 54-43 to Velma Jackson. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. Andrew's Episcopal in their matchups with Velma Jackson: they've now lost four in a row.
Jefferson County's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-8.
