The Union Grove Broncos are taking a road trip to take on the Beloit Memorial Purple Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Union Grove barely beat Racine Case the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Broncos were the clear victors by a 12-5 margin over the Eagles on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Broncos, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Marlee Lange made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off ten hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Santarelli, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Emma LaFrania also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Beloit Memorial not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 6, 2024 (when they won 20-0). They put the hurt on Martin Luther with a sharp 12-1 win.
Like Union Grove, Beloit Memorial also got a great game from a two-way player: Rilynne Cleland. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Cleland has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Beloit Memorial got a big performance out of Evelynn Karr, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Caitlyn Rochester was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Union Grove's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Beloit Memorial, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-11.
