Volleyball Recap: St. Cloud's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

St. Cloud won the last time they faced Celebration, and Isabella Rodriguez did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Storm 3-2 for which the team can thank Rodriguez, who had 11 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Defeat or not, Celebration got some senior leadership from Valeria Maldonado and Hailey Gomez. Maldonado had 23 digs and two aces, while Gomez had 12 digs and four aces. Those 12 digs set a new season-high mark for Gomez.

The victory snapped St. Cloud's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-6 record. As for Celebration, they moved to 4-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

St. Cloud didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Gateway on the 23rd. As for Celebration, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Poinciana on the 23rd.
