The Reese Rockets can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Vassar by a score of 57-47. That's another feather in the cap for Reese, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Vassar's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Madix Gorleski, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Austin Long who scored 19 points. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him.
Reese's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Vassar, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reese will be home for the holidays to greet Valley Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Vassar will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lakeville at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th.
