If the Bradshaw Christian The Pride were feeling good off their 64-42 takedown of the Woodland Christian Cardinals last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Bradshaw Christian took a 64-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Escalon on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Loss or not, Bradshaw Christian got some senior leadership from Caleb Carson who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and four steals and Josh O'neal who scored 16 points along with six assists. The game was O'neal's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ezyah Tapp, who scored two points along with six rebounds.
Bradshaw Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Escalon, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bradshaw Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Vacaville at 7:00 p.m. on January 3rd. One thing working in Vacaville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. Escalon's road trip will continue as they head out to face Riverbank at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th.
