The Baptist Hill Bobcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Carvers Bay, falling 62-32. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Harold Gathers and Romaine Grant certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Gathers threw for 269 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes, while Grant picked up 190 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Gathers is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played.
Baptist Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Carvers Bay, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.
Baptist Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carvers Bay is on the road again on Friday and play against Lamar at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. Lamar is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
