There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. Among the action were the efforts of Mount Si's senior Cale Millen, an offensive menace who scored seven total TDs.
Welcome
Mountain View repeated its 54-point performance from the game before for another record-booster in its most recent game. Everything went its way against Battle Ground as it secured a 54 - 7 win. One major factor in the victory was the play of senior Garret Moen, who finished up with 321 yards passing and one rushing touchdown. The win also thrust Mountain View into the power rankings, where the team now holds the 23rd spot.
Can't Touch This
Mount Si's 52 - 28 win over Skyview last week had a lot to do with the leadership of senior Cale Millen. Millen threw for 396 yards and seven touchdowns. In fact, our algorithms singled out Millen as one of the top players in the power rankings for the week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between Eastside Catholic (ranked 1st in WA) and Rigby (ranked 6th in ID). Eastside Catholic took its game against Rigby by a confident 34 - 6 score. Eastside Catholic had two big standouts, as senior Derek Ray earned two touchdowns and 81 yards rushing the ball, while junior Gio Ursino ran for 124 yards and snatched up one reception.
Next Week's Big Game
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Graham-Kapowsin (4th in the power rankings) and Puyallup (3rd). Both teams are rolling into the game after last-week wins. The two teams picked up some nice yardage in their most recent games (492 for Graham-Kapowsin and 539 for Puyallup), so expect some excitement on the offensive end of the ball.
