The Broadalbin-Perth Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Scotia-Glenville Tartans at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Broadalbin-Perth will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Broadalbin-Perth came out on top against Gloversville on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Patriots put the hurt on the Huskies/Dragons with a sharp 12-4 win. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Huskies/Dragons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Adrianna Smith was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. Smith was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Marley Morin, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Kara Weaver also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Broadalbin-Perth kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Scotia-Glenville's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of South Glens Falls by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Tartans couldn't push the score so high this time.
Keeley Kristel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Emily Martin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Scotia-Glenville's loss dropped their record down to 13-4-1. As for Broadalbin-Perth, their record now sits at 5-11.
Broadalbin-Perth might still be hurting after the 16-2 defeat they got from Scotia-Glenville in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
