There's no place like home for Cornwall Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 20-0 margin over the Monticello Panthers on Friday. Considering the Dragons have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Cornwall Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Monticello, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cornwall Central will challenge Goshen Central at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gladiators have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Monticello, they will take on Valley Central at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.6 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
