The Viewmont Vikings came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 57-26 win over Bonneville. With Viewmont ahead 43-11 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Viewmont was led to victory by Mary Carr and Aubrey Mulitalo. Carr scored 14 points along with eight rebounds, while Mulitalo scored 14 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristina Gunnell, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Viewmont's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Bonneville, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Viewmont will take on Clearfield at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Clearfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. As for Bonneville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cyprus at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
