Marysville can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They managed a 22-18 win over Wheatland. The score was all tied up 6-6 at the break, but Marysville was the better team in the second half.
It was another big night for Dennis Syders, who picked up 90 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Syders' longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.
Their wins bumped Center to 6-3 and Marysville to 4-4.
Everything went Center's way against Marysville when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as Center made off with a 20-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Center since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
