The South Titans gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 46-38 victory over West. That result was just more of the same for these two, as South also won the last time the pair played back in January.
West's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Semaj James, who scored 10 points along with 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Gavyn Phillips, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds.
South's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for West, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
South will be playing at home against Northwest at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Northwest focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday. As for West, they will head out on the road to face off against East at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
