Brandon Albert Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Community School of Davidson's Brandon Albert, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Albert's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 163 rushing yards. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 52 yards.
The win (which was Community School of Davidson's third in a row) raised their record to 8-3. Albert and Community School of Davidson will venture away from home to face off against Mount Pleasant at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Joshua Moses posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He made seven total tackles. He also rushed for 179 rushing yards, which is notable because Mountain Island Charter is undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 2-5 otherwise.
Mountain Island Charter has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. Moses and Mountain Island Charter will face off against Mount Airy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Oliver Morris posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
On the year, Morris has run in 2 touchdowns while averaging 16.4 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after 11 games last season, he was only averaging six rushing yards per game.
