Duarte entered their tilt with Azusa on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Aztecs 12-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-0 back in March.

Alyssa Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Valeria Hinajosa was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Daniella Matiarena was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and one RBI.

Duarte pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Azusa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Duarte is set to take on their familiar foe Sierra Vista at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Azusa will face off against rival Garey at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
