It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Baldwin Braves can now relate to. They were dealt a 41-0 loss at the hands of Benedictine on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Baldwin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 146th, while Benedictine is ranked 19th).
Lamar Pounds threw for 41 yards on eight of 26 attempts. On the ground, Sadur Salahuddin rushed for 65 yards.
Benedictine was led to victory by Luke Kromenhoek and Na'seir Samuel. Kromenhoek threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns, while Samuel rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. La'don Bryant also helped out with an impressive 83 receiving yards.
Baldwin's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Benedictine, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Baldwin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Benedictine will stay at home for another week and welcome LaGrange at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. LaGrange is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
