The Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons won the last time they faced the Port Charlotte Pirates, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Charlotte was the clear victor by a 68-46 margin over Port Charlotte. With that win, Charlotte brought their scoring average up to 54.7 points per game.
Charlotte found their leader in underclassman Kamie Ellis, who scored 25 points along with 7 rebounds. The matchup was Ellis' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Willis, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 14 rebounds.
Charlotte now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Port Charlotte, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Charlotte will square off against Westminster Academy at 5:50 p.m. on Friday. Port Charlotte won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lemon Bay at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th.
