On Friday, The Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles faced the St. Mark's Spartans in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Hodgson Vo-Tech enjoyed a cozy 30-15 victory over St. Mark's. For Hodgson Vo-Tech, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 defeat St. Mark's walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2016.
Hodgson Vo-Tech was led to victory by Maki Beach and Brysheem Davis. Beach rushed for 120 yards on only 15 carries, while Davis rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown.
St. Mark's loss came despite strong showings from Logan Klein and Caleb King. Klein picked up 104 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while King rushed for 130 yards while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.
Hodgson Vo-Tech's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-2.
