They were  outmatched by The Villages Charter Buffalo and fell  85-38. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 237th in Georgia, while the Buffalo are ranked 25th in Florida).
 The Villages Charter got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Jared Thompson out in front who  went 8 of 13  on his way to 21  points in addition to seven  boards and four  steals. Thompson has been hot for a while, having  posted two or more  steals the last nine times he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aaron Britt, Jr., who  went 7 for 14  on his way to 18 points in addition to five  rebounds and four  steals.
The Grace Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for The Villages Charter, the  win was  the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
 The Grace Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  64-33  defeat against Boyd-Buchanan on the 14th. The Villages Charter has also  already played their next matchup,  a  68-58  victory against Cedar Grove on the 14th.
