The El Camino Real Royals will face off against the Granada Hills Charter Highlanders at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
El Camino Real's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 20-0 margin over Chatsworth. The victory continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Chancellors: they've now won eight in a row.

The team relied heavily on Sarah Delgado, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nerissa Winokur, who went 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI.
El Camino Real hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Granada Hills Charter entered their tilt with Cleveland on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Cavaliers 15-0.
April Anaya looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Lainey Brown was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Elysse Diaz was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
Granada Hills Charter's win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for El Camino Real, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. El Camino Real hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .365. However, it's not like Granada Hills Charter struggles in that department as they've averaged .393. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
