There's no place like home for the Community Vikings/Viqueens, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 58-54 win over Harpeth on Tuesday. This was payback for Community, who suffered a 61-54 loss the last time these two teams met.
Community's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alyssa White, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Yoes, who scored six points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Community's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Harpeth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.
Community won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. Cannon County is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Harpeth, they and the Cubs will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cheatham County Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Indians in Tennessee (the Cubs are ranked 37th, while the Indians are ranked 257th).
