The Inglemoor Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Interlake Saints at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Inglemoor's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Interlake's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Inglemoor lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Bellevue, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Vikings put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 7-1 win on Monday.
Inglemoor got a great performance from Levi Stark as he struck out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Stark has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Drew Snider was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.
Inglemoor hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bellevue struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, Interlake entered their tilt with Highline on Monday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Pirates.
Interlake got a massive performance out of Sam Haufe, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. The Saints are undefeated when Haufe posts two or more runs, but 4-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Didrickson, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.
Interlake pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Inglemoor, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Inglemoor took their win against Interlake when the teams last played on April 2nd by a conclusive 24-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
