The Lexington Minutemen came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by Calvary Christian Academy at home to the tune of 83-20. Considering Lexington has won four contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Ethan Storm was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with four steals. The matchup was his tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Micah Coffman, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Lexington's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Lexington won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th. Clinton is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Calvary Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on LaMoille at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th.
