Leading SouthWest Edgecombe to victory were Aaliyah Whitehead and Kd Collins. Whitehead dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten steals, while Collins dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 steals. Collins has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was A'Chonacey (Chonie) Mabry, who scored four points along with five rebounds and five steals.
SouthWest Edgecombe is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Tarboro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
