Meanwhile, First Preparatory Christian Academy pushed their score all the way to 74 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Central Fellowship Christian Academy 80-74. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Thursday (67), First Preparatory Christian Academy still had to take the loss.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Brandon Betton, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Moore, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds.
Memorial Day's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for First Preparatory Christian Academy, they bumped their record down to 3-6 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Memorial Day was able to grind out a solid win over First Preparatory Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, winning 61-54.
