Basketball Game Preview: Spring Hill Raiders vs. Lincoln County Falcons

Spring Hill is 0-6 against Lincoln County since January of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Spring Hill Raiders are taking a road trip to face off against the Lincoln County Falcons at 6:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Spring Hill was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 40-36 to Warren County.

Despite the loss, Spring Hill had strong showings from Emma Sharp, who posted 11 points in addition to six assists and three steals, and Meshari Goodman, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and four steals. Goodman has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Audrey Wooldridge, who put up seven points.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Lincoln County's strategy against Columbia Central on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Lincoln County blew Columbia Central out of the water with a 72-32 final score. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Lions are ranked 209th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lincoln County has also been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Spring Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Spring Hill was dealt a bruising 71-32 loss at the hands of Lincoln County in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Spring Hill was down 48-22.
