Baseball Recap: Eastern Has No Trouble Against Christian Educational Consortium

Eastern not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15th (when they won 16-0). They blew past the Christian Educational Consortium Cougars 14-4. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Carson Shee was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two doubles. That's the most stolen bases he has posted over his last 13 matches. Hunter Greenwell also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Eastern hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in four consecutive games.

Eastern's record is now 20-12. As for Christian Educational Consortium, their loss dropped their record down to 10-16.

Coming up, Eastern will take on Henry Clay at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Christian Educational Consortium, they will host Assumption Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Assumption Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something Christian Educational Consortium will no doubt try to take advantage of.
