Countryside Christian is 1-9 against Branford since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Countryside Christian Minutemen will head out on the road to face off against the Branford Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. Countryside Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
On Tuesday, Countryside Christian took a serious blow against Aucilla Christian, falling 52-25.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Branford's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 68-58 to Union County. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Branford came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Union County is ranked 596th).
Countryside Christian's defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Branford, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-1.
Countryside Christian took a serious blow against Branford in their previous matchup back in January, falling 67-24. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Countryside Christian was down 46-14.
