Deshler have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Eustis-Farnam at 6:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps national rankings project a close contest.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 20-56, which was the final score in Deshler's tilt against Wilcox-Hildreth two weeks ago. Deshler were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 20-48.
Eustis-Farnam won against South Platte with 72 points, and Eustis-Farnam decided to stick to that point total again last week. Everything went Eustis-Farnam's way against Elba as the squad secured a 72-6 win. With Eustis-Farnam ahead 51-6 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Eustis-Farnam's victory lifted them to 3-0 while Deshler's defeat dropped them down to 0-2. We'll see if Eustis-Farnam's success rolls on or if Deshler are able to steal their positive momentum.
