The Cushing Bearkats will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Overton Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Cushing has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Cushing on the road against the Hornets as the team secured a 59-27 victory.
Meanwhile, Overton can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They breezed by Mt. Enterprise at home to the tune of 64-35. With that victory, Overton brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.
Jayden Edwards went supernova for Overton, scoring 25 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Edwards has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Still, who scored ten points along with seven assists and two steals.
Cushing's victory bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Overton, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-3.
