Houghton dropped their record down to 3-2 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Kingsford Flivvers, falling 12-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Gremlins were not able to get on the board.

As for Kingsford, they pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games.

For Kingsford's part, Joey Weber made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Weber was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Garrett Brown was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Nic Novara also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Houghton will take on Hancock on Saturday. As for Kingsford, they will host Coleman at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
